An informational gathering for protestors was raided in St. Paul the other night - complete with cops drawing guns on people while their young children watched. Some bogus story about molotov cocktails, Xboxes and other nonsensical garbage. Oddly enough, the fire department had no knowledge of it (despite the claim that they were violating fire code) and the city council is furious - which means the directive wasn't local, it was much higher up than that. I understand this wasn't the only raid, either.
We've not only lost our right to peaceful protest, but to have private gatherings to simply discuss protests.
