Ed here,

It's been a very bad week for me. I lost my little brother. I hadn't talked to him for about a month. That was odd for us, because we usually talked at least once a week. When we got the call my first thoughts were of Mike and Linda. It never crossed my mind that Kenny was the subject. I guess I always assumed that my little bro would always be there for me. I always figured that I'd be the first of us kids to cross over.

Kenny was a good egg. He'd help me when I was down and ask for nothing in return. He treated my kids like they were his own. If you knew my boys, you'd know he was a very charitable sort. They looked up to Uncle Kenny. I understand why.

Anyone that knew Kenny will tell you that he was an honest man. Kenny didn't care if you were black or white, rich or poor, young or old. He always treated people as he would like to be treated. He wouldn't stand by and watch someone else being abused without jumping in head first. He didn't worry about himself, but he made sure he worried about everyone else.

Cook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That boy could cook. If you never had the joy of Kenny's seafood platter off the grill, or his Chile Verde with roasted peppers, you lost. Portabella mushrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't imagine how good they were. He taught me a lot about cooking, but I'll never be half the cook he was.

I could go on all day about Kenny, but he'd just get pissed because I was making a big deal about him. I feel comfort in knowing that when I cross over I will have Kenny there to show me the way. I love you little brother.
