Who Needs Who?
By Ed
Wednesday, April 26, 2006

Ed here,

Does our commander in thief need Osama Bin Laden more than Osama Bin Laden needs our commander in thief? In light of the recent recording put out by Osama, I have to wonder if W doesn't need Osama. I'm starting to get the feeling that they are working together. We all know that Osama needs W, because if John Kerry was president, Osama would be dead now. As long as Osama is out there, W can play the terror card. The last thing Osama wants is to see a real American hero in charge.

W made sure the Bin Laden family got out of the country un-harmed after 9/11. That leads me to believe that there is a good chance they are working together. Why wouldn't an American President keep them here until he was satisfied that none of the other Bin Laden's in the country weren't involved? So when push comes to shove, Osama needs W, his life depends on it. Do they need each other?

W's approval ratings have dropped to 32%, the worst since Nixon. I don't think they started keeping track of approval ratings until the 60's, I could be wrong though. What is really getting me is the fact that 32 out of 100 people think he's doing a good job.

I think it might be starting to back-fire on him now though. Double-edged sword so to speak; on one edge, if there is another attack on American soil; he's going to play the tough guy. On the other edge, he said that he was the man that could keep America safe. The problem; if he plays the tough guy, he'll attack someone that had nothing to do with it. John Kerry said that the U.S. attacking Iraq because of 9/11 was like the U.S. attacking Mexico for Pearl Harbor. Remember, history repeats itself. Since I do think they are working together, I don't think we will have another terrorist attack on America while W is in office.

Either way, he will go down in history as the worst president this country has ever seen. I hope the country survives his presidency. He made his bed, now it's time to lay in it. I think diplomacy is the answer. We need a president that is willing to work with the rest of the world, not one that wants to take it over. We need a president that looks for, and funds alternative energy sources, not one that is so consumed with power and money that he doesn't care about America itself. We need a president that cares about American people before he cares about profits for his daddy's oil buddies. We need a president that defends the Constitution. We need a president that listens to what our top military people are saying. Democrat or Republican, its ok to disagree, but lets all look out for America first.

I was stationed in Germany from 1980 until 1983. At the time, gas cost the German people about 1.75 German Marks per liter. During my stay in Germany, The dollar to mark exchange rate was anywhere from 1.60 mark to the dollar, to about 2.22 marks to the dollar. They were paying about $3 to $4 per gallon for gas 25 years ago. Although they've been paying a lot more for they're gas, in return, they got free health insurance, they got jobs, and they had a government that looked out for them. My oldest son was born in Germany, and if he wanted to, he could go back and he would be guaranteed the same as any other German citizen. Germany is a capitalistic society just as ours is, but they have also learned that they can't take over the world. They've decided to take care of German people and let the rest of the world live the way they see fit.

There was a time when people the world over loved Americans. These days, we are hated the world over. Our country won't survive if we keep going in the direction we are headed. I don't think W cares a whole lot about his grand-children that he hasn't got yet. Why worry about them, they haven't been born yet. Personally, I think we need a president that cares more about his grand-children and their grandchildren. We haven't got that in W, he seems to care more about paying back the people that got him where he is today. There is no way he could have gotten to where he is on his own.

So in closing, I think that even though Osama needs W because his life depends on him, W needs Osama more so he and his oil buddies can keep playing the terror card. So don't plan on Osama getting caught anytime soon; at least not until the polls show the Democrats taking over the house and senate.

Opinions are like ass-holes, I just showed you mine.

No Child Left Behind
By Ed
Wednesday, April 19, 2006

Ed here,
Happy Easter everyone. I'd like to focus on children this week. Since the children of this country are going to be the ones affected most by W, Dick, and Rummy, we need to evaluate their policies.

Over 1200 children have lost a parent in the so-called war in Iraq. Since W always says we all must make sacrifices for the war on terror, it's safe to say they've done their part. To make matters worse, after these children lost a parent for oil companies, our military won't even provide grief counseling. I suppose that's par for the course though. Since the parents of these children are no longer serving in the military, they are now reduced to excess baggage.

If W and the boys are spending money taking care of the families of our heroes, that will take away from all the no-bid contract holders. We all know W, Dick, Rummy, Halliburton, Exxon, Conoco, and all the rest have made sacrifices far greater than the ones made by these children. I honestly believe that, and I'm going to tell you why.

In the distant future, when these children stand before God to be admitted into heaven, God will welcome them with open arms. W and his cronies on the other hand will (using a line from Desi) have some 'splaining to do. I'd sure like to be a fly on the wall when that day comes. Greed and power have consumed these people. It's a good bet they are all going to see that flashing light. "ACCESS DENIED". So they better enjoy their time on earth. My guess is that the Devil doesn't give no-bid contracts. Yes, W and the boys have made a sacrifice. Imagine how many children lost their homes because of Katrina. The boys will have more 'splaining to do. Our educational system is a mess because the boys can't be burdened with public education, since all of their kids go to the best private schools. W and the boys should just plead nolo-contendere. Maybe the Lord will show them some leniency.

Last year, the spring turkey hunting season opened on the Monday after Easter Sunday. Normally I have fairly long hair, but when I awoke on Easter Sunday I decided to get out my clippers and give myself a butch haircut. Made it more comfortable for a week of camping and hunting. When our children and grandchildren showed up at the house for Easter dinner, my oldest grand-daughter saw me and said "grandpa, what happened to your hair". Seeing an opportunity to have a little fun with her, I told her that the Easter Bunny cut it off when I was sleeping. She looked horrified when she asked why would he do that. So I told her that he was going to cut it up into little pieces and put it into the Easter eggs that he was going to give the kids that are bad. Now she really looked horrified. So I asked her if she had any hair in the Easter eggs she got in her Easter basket. Still looking a little scared, she said no. I told her that she must not be a bad kid then. Big smile, kiss, and a hug for grandpa. Since I'm writing this on Easter Sunday I'll not be using my normal closing. The hair story is true; the rest is just my opinion. Have a safe Holiday.

The Great Wall
By Ed
Wednesday, April 12, 2006

Ed here,
I've got a solution to the illegal immigrant problem that is facing our country today. Personally I don't think it's that much of a problem, but apparently the Republicans that are up for re-election do. We need to build a Great Wall of America. The Chinese built the Great Wall of China in about 500 years, on the back of probably billions of Chinese people. We have to worry about 12 million Mexican people? Let's build a wall from California to Texas.

First we can give companies like Halliburton no-bid contracts. In order to get these contracts they will have to comply with a few certain rules.
  1. W says Americans won't do manual labor so there can be no Americans on the job unless of course they are management.
  2. We can only pay these people 25% of their actual value. You have to remember that the CEOs of these companies can't be expected to sit on they're asses and do nothing unless they make at least as much as 1 million illegals make annually. They do have to pay for the ones they have scrubbing their toilets. They will also need the bonuses they have coming to them, but that will not be counted as part of their actual income.
  3. We're going to have to give a few of W's other cronies no-bid contracts to train these management people how to deal with these lower-classed people that are just trying to make a better life for themselves. These managers will need bull-whip training. There's nothing worse than getting whipped by someone that doesn't know proper bull-whip etiquette. They will also need training in Spanish. They need to know how to say pick up the pace or you'll be whipped, and then fired. Then for the good workers they also will have to give pep talks. They will need to know how to say, (to steal a line from Chevy Chase in Caddy Shack) "Be the wall". Good training is going to cost money, but worth it in the long run.

I figure that if we make the illegal immigrants build the wall it will take upwards of 200 years. Everyone's happy, right? W's cronies are happy; they get the no-bid contracts. The morons in this country that think a wall is the answer get their wall. The immigrants have work for the next 200 years. Who loses in this deal? Wait, America does, this country was founded on immigration.

A good friend of mine told me that he didn't mind the Mexican people, but when they come here they should demand the same pay that Americans get. Sounds good in theory, but if they did that, they would be discriminated against just as the Blacks and Native Americans have been for hundreds of years.

If the American government didn't want these people here they would have closed the borders years ago. Lay off the Mexicans, they are not bad people.

Checks and Balances

W is writing the checks, and we are going to have to cover the balance. In case no-one had noticed, we are over-drawn.

The Blue Ring around Uranus.

Now we have a subject. They are going to try to tell you that the ring is caused by some sort of cosmic gas. I say not so. It's caused by taking it in the ass from all these no good politicians we have running this country into the ground. Bad as I hate to say it, they seem to be on both sides of the aisle. I saw a re-election ad for Sen. Ben Nelson from Nebraska the other day. First thing he was proud of was standing with W on the war in Iraq. That's just wrong. Republicans can't seem to get away from W fast enough, and Ben says he was proud to stand with him? If I lived in Nebraska I would write in Larry, Curly or Moe before I would ever vote for Ben. Then you have Joe Lieberman threatening to run as an independent. What a scum-bag. This was a man that ran on the Democratic ticket for president, and since he knows he will lose the Democratic vote in the primaries, he wants to make sure a Republican wins the seat. Something good will come of that though. He will be gone. Good riddance Joe.

Once again, opinions are like ass-holes, I just showed you mine.

20 Questions
By Ed
Tuesday, April 4, 2006

Ed here,

  1. Q: Did anyone see Laura Ingram on NBC Sat. morning?
A: I did and it's a good bet she'll be an advocate for the gay lifestyle soon. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  2. Q: Do our elected officials want to put a stop to illegal immigration?
A: No; since they all own at least 5 or 6 of them, if they were legal they would have to pay them at least minimum wage
  3. Q: Of the 12 million illegal immigrants in this country today, how many of them are allowed to vote?
    A: Goose egg.
  4. Q: Would the Republicans use the illegal immigration issue as a smokescreen for the Nov. elections?
A: Of course they would, just as they tried to use the Dubai deal. Knowing fully that nothing will be done, they are proving to all you Republican mushrooms out there that by talking about issues, you are stupid enough to believe they are doing something about them.
  5. Q: Are the Republicans in charge of controlling our borders?
A: Apparently not; if they were controlling our borders in the first place, this issue would be a moot point.
  6. Q: Is immigration the backbone of this country?
A: Nearly every person in this country has roots tracing back to another country. Excluding of course The Native Americans and we all know what our leaders have done to them. Our ancestors came to America for a better life just as the 12 million people that a lot of people seem to hate so much. The answer is yes.
  7. Q: Are W and Pres. Fox in bed together?
A: Indeed they are; when I see them together, I picture "Broke back Bull-fighting"
  8. Q: Does big business want something done about illegal immigration?
A: NO, if something is done they will have to start treating them like people.
  9. Q: Who are the people that W cares about the most?
    A: Big business.
  10. Q: Is the Democratic leadership smart enough to turn the tables on the right-wingers on this issue?
A: No; If they were they would have called their bluff and told the Republicans they agreed with them and asked for a vote. The Republicans would have ran from the issue just as they did with Dubai.
  11. Q: When are the Democrats going to learn to fight fire with fire?
A: Who knows? But if they don't learn soon, we'll be in the minority in Nov.
  12. Q: Why do they say these are the jobs that Americans won't do?
A: These jobs were done by Americans before the illegals got here. Example; In 1968, the packing houses paid workers good wages. $13 to $17 per hour, and good steak's cost less than 1/2 of what they cost today. Now packers pay $8 to $11 per hour, but the steak costs twice what it cost then. Big business is making a killing on this thanks to people like that scumbag Ronald Reagan. He was the worst thing that ever happened to the working man.
  13. Q: Why did the girl give the Democrat a blowjob?
A: She said Republicans tasted like shit. Sorry, another brokeback reference.
  14. Q: Is Ann Coulter about the nastiest looking thing you ever saw in your life?
A: No, when I was in high school I saw a beaver that resembled a pile of shit with a wagon track rolling through it. I was very proud that day, you see I was a distance runner in high school. Only time I ever broke a 5 min. mile.
  15. Q: Why are the Saudi's behind almost all terrorist activities?
    A: Because they hate us.
  16. Q: Why does W like the Saudi's so much?
    A: Because he hates us.
  17. Q: Why are our grandchildren so much more fun than our kids?
A: Because our grandchildren are innocent.
  18. Q: I'm watching Sen. Durbin on "Face the Nation", will he tell the real reason why illegal immigration is all of a sudden a big issue?
A: Not a chance. I'm beginning to think that the Democratic leaders are more than happy being in the minority, as long as they get re-elected. After-all, they are living like kings, who really cares about the little people?
  19. Q: Will there be more hot button issues brought up by the Republicans once the illegal immigrant issue is old news?
A: That's a stupid question Ed. But Guido, Buford, and Oswald say yes there will. This will go on until Nov. then after they retain the House and Senate it is going to be business as usual. Russ Feingold seems to be the only man that is willing to stand up to them right now. I hope he doesn't end up like Paul Wellstone from Minnesota.
  20. Q: How do you measure an average man or woman's success in life?
A: Not by how much money they made or how much property they accumulate. Go to that person's funeral, and see who shows up. I'm very proud to say that both of my parents' funerals were standing room only. I miss them, they were the most successful people I've ever known.

On questions 1-19, opinions are like ass-holes, I just showed you mine. #20 is fact.
