It's politics, not rocket science!

The flap over the Florida and Michigan primaries is starting to get a little old. Everyone has their hair on fire on how to fix it when if they would just stand back and look at it objectively the fix is really pretty fucking simple. That isn't to say that it's perfect and is probably a little cold-blooded. But extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures.

The DNC needs to use its mailroom for something other than asking for hand-outs for a friggin change. A mail-in primary is the best and easiest fix to this whole fucking debacle and if done right, it could be done shortly after or possibly on the same day as Pennsylvania.

Bar codes are an everyday occurrence so they cannot tell me that they could not issue one to every Democrat in both states and send them a goddamn postcard! Hell, stimulate the fucking economy some and spend the money at Kinkos for all I care. While I understand the problems associated with a mail-in primary, it is the best way to attempt at giving the Democrats in these states a chance at fairly seating their delegates at the convention.

Now I know that there are those out there that will moan and groan that it disenfranchises some who haven't registered to vote yet or allow independents into the fold. Fuck'em! If someone is not registered by now, they are not fucking smart enough to vote anyway! Sorry if that sounds offensive but frankly, I don't care. They are people who put things off until the last possible moment and make snap decisions. If someone cannot get involved enough to make a reasoned choice based on their values and perception of the issues, they need to keep their fucking mouths shut and let the adults take care of things.

As for independent voters, they can kiss the fattest part of my ass for all I care about their voice being heard. These are the same assholes that made it possible for Chimpy McFuckNuts to steal the White House in the first place. I know, how silly of me to think that Democratic primaries should be decided by Democrats but what can I say?

Then there is the question of super-delegates. Setting aside the fact that the entire concept makes about as much sense as a "Learn to Read" billboard, they must vote their constituency. There is no other way to keep the integrity of the nomination process. These "super-delegates" constantly yammer on about being leaders when it comes to election time so they need to lead. In fact I can think of two people who need to stand up right now.

With great fanfare, both Ted Kennedy and John Kerry have endorsed Obama but their constituency went for Clinton, therefore they need to be the leaders they claim to be and publically commit their votes too her. If they would step up and show that they can rise above their personal views and do what is best for the party and put the entire super-delegate debate to bed.

I still believe that it is good that the primaries aren't over. A couple of weeks ago I wrote to that effect and a few readers felt differently, which all fine and good. I have no problem when people disagree with me, in fact I welcome it. Debate is good it is what gives politics its luster for me. But to those who did disagree, does not the Reverend Wright issue prove my point? Could you imagine what would be happening if this was during the general election? The Republicans would be screaming even louder than they are now but being as John Sidney McSame has to go to Iraq to gets any press, theirs cries are being muted by our ongoing primary process. This issue is not going to be decided by the media or the Republicans but by us Democrats. And if Obama does get the nomination, the issue is going to be so old that try as they might, the Republicans will get little if any traction with it in the general.

Politics is not rocket science all it takes is a little determination and a modicum of common sense to make it work properly.

Spitzer-gate
by Clyde
7:24 AM

Let me be perfectly clear, THERE IS NO PIECE OF ASS WORTH 5 GRAND! I don't care if she can fart Yankee Doodle fucking Dandy in three part harmony while vise clamping you like an armless barrel racer, it is not worth five thousand fucking dollars! Jesus Christ this shit pisses me off.

Everyone is concerned with bullshit over this whole ordeal. Some are yammering on about whether prostitution should be legal while others are wondering if Spitzer should be prosecuted or not. Me, I'm happy the fucker is gone because it is obvious this sonofabitch doesn't have a clue about fiscal responsibility.

Believe me I understand there has to be a modicum of discretion when it comes to gubernatorial affairs. But there has got to be an easier and cheaper way of getting it done. Not to mention, without that nagging hassle of the IRS and Dept. of Justice crawling up your ass like a guano miner.

Now I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but when it comes to spoons I'm a fucking razor and even I know the more people you have involved with a transaction, the more likely it is going to become public knowledge.

(Whistle) Hey Moron! Here's a novel fucking approach, use cash! It cuts out the middle man. All you have to ask is how much, say here you go and viola, the financial portion of the transaction is complete. Not fucking rocket science!

Another thing, do NOT import your whore! Use the ones available in the city, town, hamlet, or burg you are staying. What are they going to say, no? They are there for your convenience after all. Bringing in a hooker from out of state is just taking too many chances. You have travel agents, rental car agencies, sky caps, and yadda yadda yadda. If you use local personnel, all it takes is a $20 bill and a discrete bell hop for services to be rendered. Easy as pie! (pun intended)

And finally let's talk golden pussies. There is no such thing. Sorry ladies, I do not mean to offend but your quim is not worth 5k. At least not as a rental unit. Maybe as a long term investment but even that is subject to conjecture. I don't care if your pussy started clapping like Larry Craig at a Liza Minnelli concert upon completion of my coital performance; it still does not add up to five thousand dollars.

Think of it this way, remember when you first met your husband or boyfriend and he actually tried to satisfy your sexual needs? You know, before his one hump - one grunt - snore often prowess of today. Was his dick worth 5 grand? Fuck no it wasn't! It was just a piece of meat that the FSM (ra-men) had left over and didn't know what else to do with.

The fact of the matter is that Spitzer was stupid and he deserved what he got. I will not voice support for someone just because they belong to the same political party as I do. While I do not agree that prostitution should be illegal and as governor he has to set an example. Besides, there are better ways of spending $4930.00. (don't forget the bell hop)

Beer, submarine sandwiches and titty bars come immediately to mind.

It's on now!

So the fuck what that Obama didn't seal the deal Tuesday night! What is the worst that came from it, democracy? You mean the other states actually get to have their voice heard? Perish the fucking thought!

You know what I see when it comes to Hillary's comeback? I see John McCain playing third fiddle to TWO Democratic candidates during every news cycle. With Clinton and Obama slugging it out for the next 7 weeks, the only way McCain is going to be the lead story is if Limbaugh gives him a tea-bag while belting out the aria from Madam Butterfly. Otherwise it is going to be non-stop Obama/Clinton and vice versa.

Not to mention the fact that Republicans are only comfortable multi-tasking in airport men's rooms, McCain will have to continue enduring attacks from two campaigns instead of focusing on just one. Why, he is going to be looking over his shoulder more than James Dobson at a Ted Haggard retreat on Brokeback Mountain. In fact, Howard Dean needs to get both campaigns to coordinate their attacks on McCain for the sake of the Party. Let them go after one another all they want but get on the same page when it comes to the general election.

And as far as Obama and Clinton going after each other. I say great, throw the fucking kitchen sink at each other, and get it over with during our primaries instead of it coming up in the general. I would rather see all the research and talking points in place so a wrench can be thrown into the gears of the Republican attack machine faster than an Ann-dy Coulter gynecological exam.

The fact of the matter is that a continued primary season is good for the Democratic Party and its members. We always try to claim that we are the party of inclusion and that everyone's voice deserves to be heard. Well this election cycle is where we as a Party put our beliefs to the test. How can we lay claim to inclusion if we are not willing to let every voter of every state have a chance in nominating who they feel is the best candidate for the White House?

Politics should not be treated as some kind of football game. Politics is real and with dire consequences and I have a hard time figuring out how it is good for the country by putting up a candidate just because we think they can win. We need to let the vetting process continue all the way until the convention if need be. It is imperative that our nominee be the best candidate after the election as it is for the election.
