Excuse Me While I Vent!

The other night I awoke from the best dream I have ever had in my adult life. I was in a semi-dark room looking at the silhouette of a woman with long legs, ample breasts, long blonde hair and a set of very straight white teeth. As I approached, her face came more into focus and although familiar, I still found it difficult to recognize who she was. Eventually I got close enough to discern it was Ann Coulter and I experienced that one brief moment of total satisfaction when I kicked her right in the testicles. The sheer joy I felt was short-lived but the memory was one that brought a smile to my face for the whole day.
Coulter is the perfect example of the modern Republican Party because she/he/it only tells the truth when it serves the purpose and is totally intolerant of those who do not share the same ideology. The modern day Republican Party has the innate ability to be highly critical of those who do not share their views while at the same time being completely unable to handle any criticism against them or those who are in concert with their rapture right neo-con death cult agenda. It has gotten so bad that if George W. Bush were to roast a newborn child over a barbeque pit on the White House front lawn they would comment about how he has good table manners.
You could literally turn the Sahara Desert into a tropical rainforest with the tears shed by the right wing whenever someone speaks against their political philosophy. The Republican Party loves to tell everyone of their strong commitment to a myriad of issues but when it is exposed that their actions do not live up to their rhetoric out come the hankies and they turn into whining schoolgirls with a bad case of menstrual cramps. These people make me sick and it is has come to a time where I cannot sit idly by without giving these people exactly what they deserve, a taste of their own medicine.
The Republican Party of today is nothing more than a Nazi styled political party. They demand allegiance to the Party and any dissent within the ranks is met with vile character assassination, political and monetary retribution. Republicans of today are nothing more than spoiled children who will drop to the floor and throw a hissy fit until they get their way. The rapture right neo-con death cult is a lot like a family of simians delousing each other, they pick and choose tiny little bits out of the Bible and Constitution that helps them promote their political ideology, while ignoring the rest.
It has gotten to the point where people need to rise up against these inept trolls and demand satisfaction. The Republicans are scared of us on the left because we have finally decided that it is time to fight fire with fire. It has been said that daylight is the best antiseptic and the more light that is shown on the un-American policies of the current form of the Republican Party is beginning to have its effect. We should no longer try to find the middle ground with these people and it is time we called a spade a spade. Forget the false martyrdom of these poor put upon Republicans and go for the throat. Like an inflamed pustule on the buttock of America the fascistic agenda of the modern day Republican Party needs to be removed from the body politic.
The Downing Street Memo scandal has shown the power of the internet to the entire country and we need to build on its momentum. We need to seize the opportunity that has presented itself by making our voices more aggressive in the message. Do not let some false sense of decency get in your way and do not allow the right wing the ability to refocus the attention on some lame wedge issue. It is high time we voiced our hatred for these people, their policies and forego the debate.

Semantics and Perception

If you were a Republican, how would you describe the following true story?
Once upon a time there were two men who took an active part in the resistance to an occupying force in their country. These men mingled among the citizenry keeping a watchful eye upon the movements of the occupying army. They watched troop movements, supply drops and eavesdropped on the opposing force for information. They set up a code in which they would be able to relay this vital information to their comrades in an effort to better prepare them for the coming fight.
As a Republican would you not describe these men as spies, insurgents and/or terrorists bent on the destruction of the proud fighting men and women in the armed services?
The leaders of these men were in hiding for fear of being arrested and jailed by the occupying army that was currently in charge of their country. These leaders started out with only a handful of followers but as time went by their numbers grew among the populace.
As a Republican would you not describe these leaders as fanatics who only are able to get support from the citizenry through false testimony and indoctrination?
When it was revealed that the occupying army had found out about a large cache of arms from a trusted agent within the walls of the occupiers base, the two men put into motion the plan that they had helped devise months earlier. They took separate routes in order to insure that at least one was able to warn the others and help set up the ambush.
As a Republican would you not describe this event as the actions of a small minority of zealots dedicated to bring about the bloodshed of scores of people?
When they arrived at their first destination they were thankful that they had been able to warn two leaders in time for a successful escape. Joined by a third member they took off to help set up the ambush that was to take place. Partway towards their destination the came upon a roadblock and it was decided that they would need to rush the roadblock and pray that at least one was able evade capture long enough to complete the mission.
As a Republican would you not describe this as another instance where the insurgents were able to commit their crimes because they were able to hide because the locals were too afraid to inform on them to the proper authorities?
One of the three men was able to elude the roadblock and help organize the ambush. When the skirmish broke out several of the insurgents were killed but after the initial attack the insurgents were able to inflict heavy damage on the occupying force spawning a retreat back to the safety of their base.
So Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Republican would you describe this event as another example of the total disregard for human life on the part of Islamic terrorists? Would this not be the act of cowards who are bent on overthrowing the legitimate government? Would it not be the work of criminals who hate us because of our freedom?
The answer to all of the questions is "no" and in fact it happened at a time that every American cherishes. You see this story took place on April 18th 1775 and the next day has been described as the day of the "Shot heard around the world." Paul Revere and William Dawes were able to make it to Lexington and warn Sam Adams and John Hancock of the march on Concord by the British Redcoats. Adams and Hancock were able to make their escape while Revere and Dawes were joined by Dr. Samuel Prescott when they took off for Concord which was less than five miles away.
Shortly into their journey Revere and Dawes were captured at the roadblock. Prescott, who was familiar with the terrain, was able to escape over a stone wall and make his way to Concord. At the Battles of Lexington and Concord the American sustained forty-nine dead, thirty-nine wounded and five missing in action while the British sustained seventy-three dead, one hundred seventy-four wounded and twenty-six missing in action. By all accounts this was a huge victory for the colonists but the terms that the British used to describe the events of those two days is remarkably similar to the ones used today to describe the war in Iraq.
I admit that the comparison between the war in Iraq and the American Revolution stretches the boundaries of good taste but they are as similar in many ways as they are different. Both had an organized fighting force in a war against an enemy who uses guerilla tactics. Both were fought in the name of freedom for the citizens of the country and both resulted in the untimely deaths of civilians who did nothing but try to make a better life for themselves and their families.
In many ways the acts of both the British and the colonists could be construed as terrorism because of the people's perception at the time. The acts of the suicide bombers in Iraq are only different from some of the atrocities that were done during the Revolutionary War because the ammunition of today is more efficient at murder than what was available in the 18th century.
Many will say that this comparison is akin to comparing apples to oranges but if one is to look closely at the actions with a mindset of the time in which the action took place it becomes a more apt comparison. Terms used by both sides and during both wars is nothing more than which side of the fence you sit on. To many in America the attacks in Iraq are acts of terrorism while many in the Arab world see it as an act of rebellion against an invading army.

Warning "Parental Discretion Advised!"
By Clyde

I do not think I can make it any clearer than this "Thank God for Howard Dean." Finally we have a leader who has the stones to say exactly what every liberal has wanted said for the last ten to fifteen years. The Republicans have once again gotten their collective panties in a wad over some statements that Dean has made of late and frankly they can scream so hard that their testicles shrivel to the size of raisins for all I care. Dean has done nothing more than speak truth to power and I for one support him and his rhetoric one hundred percent.
It is high time someone has stood up to these bastards and told them that we are not going to take it anymore. I am so tired of the hypocrisy that is the Republican Party I just want to scream and I am not alone. Liberals across this nation are finally standing up for ourselves and our views. No longer will we be civil in our debate against the anti-American policies set forth by Bush and his yes men.
How ironic that the Republicans are the first to claim that they support the military but are unwilling to put their own asses on the line to fight the wars that they start. They like to claim the victory for themselves yet when the game was played they were standing on the sideline like a bunch of pussy water boys. And the biggest pussy of them all did not even have the balls to stick it out in the champagne unit of the Texas Air National Guard yet he has the audacity to send the Guard and Reserves into a war zone that they are ill equipped and ill prepared for. All the while Bush is lamenting about the virtues of military service he is cutting the benefits of their loved ones back home and failing to live up to his side of the bargain made between the soldier and his country.
It is interesting how the Republicans lay claim to being the Party of fiscal responsibility yet spend our tax dollars like a bunch of horny teenagers at Little Miss Lick Titty Boom's House of Ill Repute. They are not content with just frittering away the largest budget surplus in history on the top one-tenth of one percent of the population or taking bankruptcy protection from the middle class and working poor while increasing protection for large mega-corporations. Now they want access to pension plans, decreased medical benefits and the elimination of Medicare and Medicaid.
How many times have we heard the mantra from the right about less government? Yet since they have controlled the House and Senate it has grown to be the largest employer in the country. The speed in which they have created more government bureaucracy is enough to give Dale Earnhardt Jr. a woody the size of Texas. They say they want government off the backs of the people while at the same time pass legislation that allows for the ability of law enforcement to come search your home without your knowledge or consent. They advocate for the right to keep and bear arms portion of the Bill of Rights and deny the ability of free speech for those who wish to attend a speech given by the President just because they do not believe in his policies.
It is amazing that those who are the biggest proponents of the war in Iraq and death penalty statutes claim to be "the culture of life." They are pro-life up until the zygote is finally squeezed from the birth canal but once that child sucks in its first lungful of air it is on its own. They care more for a couple of unformed cells that are stored in liquid nitrogen than they do for a fully formed human being suffering from some debilitating disease.
When Clinton had his dalliance with Monica all we heard were cries impeachment because of his unethical behavior, but when it comes to criminal behavior perpetrated by Tom Delay ethics is thrown into the wind to be scattered faster that a fart in a windstorm. When Hillary was in charge of meetings about the looming health care crisis back in the early nineties they were shouting for the minutes from those meetings to see who did what when, yet when Darth Cheney has energy task force meetings with huge oil companies it is only right that he should be able to get advice from experts without cumbersome public oversight.
These people are the most hypocritical pieces of human waste ever to cast a shadow upon our country yet they are only now beginning to be held accountable. They are lying theocratic homophobic inept cowards who feel they are better than the rest of the American people and that will only change when we all begin to call them on their bluff and bluster. So in my honest opinion Howard Dean has just voiced the same feelings as most of America only in a more polite manner than I.

Who cares?
By Clyde
Thursday, June 2, 2005
The identity of Deep Throat has as much effect on current events as a mouse fart has an effect on green house gas emissions, but with today’s mainstream media you would think that O.J. went back to Brentwood. The similarities between the Nixon administration and the current regime are many, but instead of covering the issues that have an immediate effect on the country today the talking head patrol has decided that we need to have in-depth wall to wall coverage on something that happened thirty years ago.
Whenever the mainstream media devotes over 75 percent of their broadcast time to any single issue the middle class ends up getting the shaft on another piece of legislation that was passed in order to reward the campaign contributors of the Republican war machine. The Rove-ian style control of the media is absolute and very adept at covering up real news in favor of some new piece of info-tainment designed to appease the masses. If people were actually able to get the news in an unbiased format the American people would reject the neo-conservative ideology because it is not in their best interest. But corporate America has been able to redirect the government from the "by the people and for the people" vision to "by the corporation and for the corporation."
Deregulation has been the largest assault on the American worker and in the past it was always done on the sly, but the current regime doesn't give a tinker's damn about the plight of the middle and lower class so it does nothing to hide its pro-corporate agenda. As far as they are concerned people are just the fodder used to bring about a satisfactory result on a balance sheet. People are not dumb but when large companies can control the style and type of information given, people will tend to make a decision that would have a negative effect upon their lives. And by the time they come to the realization that they are being taken advantage of it is too late to do anything about it.
The biggest difference between the liberal and conservative ideologies can best be seen when it comes to legislation that affects business. The conservative wants legislation that will ensure a profit margin regardless of its effects on the working public, in other words high profits and low costs especially when it comes to labor costs. The liberal wants the company to make a profit but at the same time providing a living wage for its workforce, so in effect a liberal has to be pro-business to be pro-labor. But when you look at the mainstream media's coverage of the two ideologies there is a strong slant to the right because it is not in the best interest of the corporation to report the news in a way that would show the American people of the rape being committed on them by the big business sponsored thieves in Washington.
From the Medicare scam to the privatization of the military, corporate America is slowly beginning to attain total dominance of the country and if we do not act and reinstitute the regulation of business and the media we will lose everything our parents and grandparents fought for.
Already the corporate influence on government has brought about serious downturns in safety net for the American people. Medicare has been reduced to a payoff to the big insurance companies, and corporate bankruptcy protection has been increased while making it far more difficult for John Q. Public to obtain the same protection. Our soldiers must put up with performing an ever increasingly difficult job beside military contractors who are better fed, equipped and paid than they are. Medicaid has been slashed to the bone and pension protection for the working class is being taken away by the courts. The national ID provision in the "emergency supplemental" for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq can only lead to further encroachment upon the civil liberties given every American in the Constitution.
The mainstream media owners figured out that the people in this country have the attention span of a nanosecond and that is why they were able to steal the public airwaves from us, thereby giving them the ultimate power, the power of information control. This control gives them the power to make or break anyone or anything they wish and it is only a matter of time before they control it all.
