On to the General

Like most of you, I am extremely happy that the primaries are finally over. Despite what anyone says, this primary season is something for all Democrats to be proud of. All Americans, rich or poor, black, white, red, yellow and brown had a chance to make their choice and that is a hell of lot better than what happened in 2004.
It has been announced that Hillary is not going to force her candidacy to the convention and will concede on Saturday. While maybe it was not as graceful an exit as many of us had wished, it is still going to be done in a united fashion and I for one am glad that she hung in there as long as she did.
It made Obama a much stronger candidate because all of the turds that were in his punch bowl have been vetted and are now, old news. Now there are many that say the Republicans are going to use Hillary's attacks on Obama over his experience and so forth.
So what? First of all, it didn't work for her, so what makes anyone think it will work for the Republicans? Second, that is standard political campaigning. You use any arrow in your quiver, especially if that arrow was slung by someone close to your opponent. But now, the game has been changed and it is on to the general election.
I hope John McSame has stock in "Preparation H" because now that the media doesn't have an Obama versus Clinton story to yammer on about for hours, they are going to climb up his ass with a miner's helmet and raincoat. No longer is there only going to be a modicum of coverage his bullshit and finally the American people are going to see that Sidney is nothing more than George W. Fucking Bush in a different dick suit!
I don't know how many people watched Sidney's speech the other night but my God! I honestly believe that an anal probing by fishing knife would be more exciting than listening to that dry fucker from Ari-fucking-zona! Whoever wrote that piece of drivel needs to be subjected to thousands of paper cuts on their genitals and forced to shower in lemon juice. And try as I might, I can only give Sidney one kudo for his delivery. He was standing upright when he gave it.
Other than that, I cannot think of one positive. The laugh lines were delivered with as much enthusiasm as a bad case of diarrhea and you could actually see it in his eyes when the teleprompter told him to smile. And just what the fuck is with that smile any way? It was a smile more akin to the kind a granddad gets when he pulls one cheek sneak at Sunday dinner.
Of course, I will admit that I felt kind of sorry for ole Sidney for a while. Because after all, it is hard to show enthusiasm when the average age of your audience is "dead."
