So the fuck what that Obama didn't seal the deal Tuesday night! What is the worst that came from it, democracy? You mean the other states actually get to have their voice heard? Perish the fucking thought!
You know what I see when it comes to Hillary's comeback? I see John McCain playing third fiddle to TWO Democratic candidates during every news cycle. With Clinton and Obama slugging it out for the next 7 weeks, the only way McCain is going to be the lead story is if Limbaugh gives him a tea-bag while belting out the aria from Madam Butterfly. Otherwise it is going to be non-stop Obama/Clinton and vice versa.
Not to mention the fact that Republicans are only comfortable multi-tasking in airport men's rooms, McCain will have to continue enduring attacks from two campaigns instead of focusing on just one. Why, he is going to be looking over his shoulder more than James Dobson at a Ted Haggard retreat on Brokeback Mountain. In fact, Howard Dean needs to get both campaigns to coordinate their attacks on McCain for the sake of the Party. Let them go after one another all they want but get on the same page when it comes to the general election.
And as far as Obama and Clinton going after each other. I say great, throw the fucking kitchen sink at each other, and get it over with during our primaries instead of it coming up in the general. I would rather see all the research and talking points in place so a wrench can be thrown into the gears of the Republican attack machine faster than an Ann-dy Coulter gynecological exam.
The fact of the matter is that a continued primary season is good for the Democratic Party and its members. We always try to claim that we are the party of inclusion and that everyone's voice deserves to be heard. Well this election cycle is where we as a Party put our beliefs to the test. How can we lay claim to inclusion if we are not willing to let every voter of every state have a chance in nominating who they feel is the best candidate for the White House?
Politics should not be treated as some kind of football game. Politics is real and with dire consequences and I have a hard time figuring out how it is good for the country by putting up a candidate just because we think they can win. We need to let the vetting process continue all the way until the convention if need be. It is imperative that our nominee be the best candidate after the election as it is for the election.

Clyde,
It's beenawhile since I chimed in from my perch in Atlanta... But here is food for thought... We Dems continue to hurt ourselves in elections... Just think about this for a second...
If John McCain wins the general election, we’ll be looking at four more years of Bushism — more tax cuts for the rich, more cuts in domestic spending, and war war war. And if he does win, it may be that historians will look back at last night as the night that he won.
He didn’t just win the GOP nomination. Now that Senator Clinton has won the popular vote in Ohio and Texas, she’s going to continue her toxic, smearing, win-at-any-cost strategy to knock off Barack Obama for the next few weeks. As Dan Kennedy says, “From this point on, Clinton can do Obama a lot of damage without necessarily being able to help herself.” This is exactly why Rush Limbaugh urged his listeners to cross party lines and vote for Clinton.
This means:
Both Dem candidates will be very damaged goods even before the general election campaign starts and the Right smear machine goes into high gear. As long as the media focus is on the Dem campaign, John McCain can hide in the shadows and not expose himself too much. Free ride for him.
WE HAVE GOT TO GET THE WORD OUT THAT THIS IS HURTING, NOT HELPING...

You call this 'vetting'? Do you mean like an Eastern European wedding? Looks a whole lot more like sports coverage from here, and it sure as hell ain't a search for 'authenticity', one of the words Websters has for 'vet'. Why don't you just by two buttons and two bumper stickers. Then you won't have to watch any more of this 'vetting'. It can cause cramps you know.
