Gee, that's funny; I just can't seem to remember what my asshole smelled like as my nose passed it. Yes folks, I admit that I had my head jammed squarely between the cheeks of my ass when I thought that Pelosi and Reid were setting up the impeachment of Chimpy McFuckNuts a couple of weeks ago. This latest capitulation to Bush by the Dems in congress has me as mad as Mike Gravel at a presidential debate. To think, I was one of the lone voices out there sticking of for these two fuckups only to turn around and watch them become willing accomplices to the utter destruction of the United States Constitution.
The fact is that I should have known that when it comes to the Democrats in Washington, you should always lay your money on them rolling over into the dying cockroach position whenever it comes to having to stand up against the Republicans. They are a bunch of fucking pussies. There really is no other way to explain it.
I mean, what in the fuck is going on? Here's a president whose approval rating is on par with Barney Frank's at a tent revival yet the Democrats continue to cave in to his demands. It's almost like battered wife syndrome.
Now I will admit that I am giving the Democrats the benefit of the doubt on whether they actually believe that Bush needed expanded powers and that it wasn't that they were getting ready to go on vacation. After all, if one were to look at the congressional record, that person would not conclude that attendance was a high priority.
Pelosi and Reid should never have let this legislation come to the floor for debate. If they do not have the decency to resign from their leadership positions then it is imperative that the other congressional Democrats remove them. The Democrats in Washington need to realize that with these neo-cons, bi-partisanship will never work.
They need to quit trying to "engage" the Republicans in debate using sound reason and logic. It doesn't work well with the Neanderthal mind. No, they need to go for the jugular, pass the legislation the American people want then tell the Republicans that "if they don't like, to write Dear Abby because she might give a fuck."
