My second favorite part of last night

Obama win sparks celebrations outside White House
As tens of thousands of people cheered Barack Obama's presidential victory at his home base in Chicago, Illinois, others were celebrating near his future house.
At least 1,000 people gathered on Washington's Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House late Tuesday night, shouting "Obama! Obama!" and "Yes we can!" Uniformed Secret Service officers were overheard, saying they'd never seen anything like it.
In Boston, Massachusetts, thousands of people -- many of them college students -- hit the streets to celebrate the election of the country's 44th president. The sound of car horns could be heard across the city, CNN affiliate WCVB reported.
Start packing!

Trust me-it was far more than 1000. Not only did we take to the streets all over D.C, but especially the White House. Cars circled and circled the perimeter honking horns-all races-all ages.
I worked on Obama's campaign in Virginia (knowing my Wash. D.C and Maryland would be "too easy").
I refer to it as "The Night We Drove Old Dixie Down".
Imagine "Jefferson Davis Highway" filled with screaming, and tearful folks.....Virginia-I have never worked as hard on any Democratic campaign as I did in Virginia.
Reich-wingers had warning of crowds doing damage if Obama won-or lost. NOTHING. Only celebration.
Howard University-students wept and partied in the streets-no problems.
I am going to be 60-and I feel I have seen it all....take into account Super Bowls wins here, other democratic wins for the Oval Office, etc. I have never seen anything like last night.
Some older folks (even much older than me!) compared it to the end of WWII when citizens took to the streets.
I am so amzed and pleased that lived long enough to see this day.......I sure "Clyde" had also.
I will bet you could feel his breath last night, and here his laughter.

Thank you Reba, for your support, but mostly for the work you did on the campaign. It's you who made this happen. It's you who made us all feel soooo fucking good this morning. It's you who restored hope to your (and my) country. There is nothing I can say to fully express my gratitude to you Reba, and everyone else (and there were a lot of them) who worked their asses off to make this happen.
I keep pinching myself. And my wife keeps reassuring me that I'm awake and it's real.
Reba, and everyone who helped, however they helped. THANK YOU.
