This is so fitting, as I believe Clyde was instrumental in helping move America to this moment. He joins a heavenly band of progressive angels, including my Mother. She was a native Southern Illinoisan and she LOVED Barack Obama!

Thank you for posting that.
I don't drink beer, but my son and I did have chips and salsa in Clyde's memory last night.

If it's any small consolation to family or friends I voted for Clyde. Don't know what's what in KC so maybe he got to vote twice, but I didn't know and after reading a bunch of old emails I have of his I drove all the way to San Jose to vote, against my better judgement for Obama. It means nothing nothing to anyone but me maybe but what if he hadn't voted? That's what made me do it. Nada mas. So Clyde did get to vote, no matter what.

Since so many people have asked us if Clyde voted early before his death, I will fess up for him. He did not. His plans were to vote early the day of the election then remain at the polling place to watch over things all day long. He wanted to witness the events of the day first hand.
But as we thought about it, he did vote in so many other ways. He converted a lot of people to vote for Obama that would have voted for McCain. As the true voice of America, he's promoted his message for his entire life. And for those that have a belief in an afterlife, you know that he was watching every single polling place across the country to make sure things were done legally. Instead of monitoring a single polling place, he got front row center seats across the nation.
I want to personally thank everyone across the country that dedicated their Obama vote to Clyde. Field reporter Heather in Ohio told me that she drove 2 car loads of people to the polls on behalf of Clyde. Bob and Agnes dropped olives in their beers and snacked on chips and salsa in his name on election day. I'm sure that there are others that have done similar things and I thank you.
The bumper sticker was his nephews idea and its something that Clyde would bust a gut laughing about. It is VERY fitting.
