Bill to aid paralyzed vets blocked in Senate
A bill promising more money for programs that help paralyzed veterans is part of a bundle of legislation tied up in partisan bickering in the Senate.
The Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve Act, which includes money for research into spinal cord injuries, is one of about 36 bills combined by Senate Democrats into what they are calling the Advancing America's Priorities Act.
The bills have been bundled in an attempt to bypass objections from Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., who has used senatorial privileges and procedures to stop action on several bills, including the spinal cord injury bill.
The Democratic plan failed Monday on a 50-42 vote, leaving them short of the 60 votes needed to cut off debate on the package.

And where please, and I'm serious, I should probably know but I just don't. Where can I get a list of the 36 bills this is attached to? It's cold and cowardly politics this 'bundling' of bills. Perhaps there's some real shit in there? Maybe some new govt. Constitution raping shit, for all I know. And I want to know. You have to remember, and this applies to 95% of em, they're cowards, liars and regularly spit in your face. All of them play with others lives where they have no right to. What did all those dead people at Waco really do? Anyone remember what caused the govt. to undertake military operations against a strange but harmless bunch of people that wanted to be left alone. Isn't that 'liberty'? And then Ruby Ridge...I know I'm sounding off subject but it's just a further example how little they actually think of you and me, We The People no more, and I'm pretty sure of it.
