D.L. Hughley on Obama: "He's like a tall Urkel dude'
If Barack Obama ever planned to show up to Tuesday's BET Awards, he'd have done well to prepare for a roasting by host D.L. Hughley.
"He does look like the dude from 'Mad' magazine," Hughley joked of the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee in an interview with AP Television. "It's so funny because he ain't a cool dude to me. He's like a tall Urkel dude (the bespectacled nerd from the '90s sitcom 'Family Matters'). But for the first black president, I'll take him. ... Like, how bad a president is George Bush, when the country goes, 'You know, we'll try the black guy'?"
Obama's competitors are also possible targets for the 44-year-old actor-comedian, who recently starred on TV's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."
.....
"And then you've got John McCain. And it's so funny, because you've got a guy who's half-black running against a guy who's half-dead."
LOL

This is a question for WD40. Why aren't you telling people that McSame and Obama aren't the only people running for president? They are the hand picked MSM candidates because either of them will leave power where it is now, in the Corporations. We have alot of viable people still trying to save America. Please tell the people about them, are you still progressive or did that big rebate check affect you? Wouldn't you rather see McKinney or Nader as president rather than the sanctioned twins. Just thought I'd ask. It is your duty to inform these people as progrssive journalists. Are you just democratic cheerleaders?

md - wow. Where to start. First of all, it really isn't their "duty" to inform you of anything. If I'm not mistaken, these guys all have day jobs and started this site on a lark. I don't think any of their primary jobs are "journalist." Having visited this site, I know more than I would if I hadn't visited it. If you want to dig up all the dirt lurking in corners out there, you obviously have the computer access to do so yourself. I think they do a pretty good job of telling us what they do find.
Second, don't you think your reaction to Obama is a bit dramatic? The slightest whiff of anything that you don't like and suddenly he's McCain's twin? How do you figure that? I don't like 100% of what he does nor 100% of his ideas, but I'm not going to throw my country down the toilet by voting for Nader - a man with virtually zero chance of winning and less than zero diplomatic ability at a time when that ability is crucial. You can't look at one issue, you have to look at the situation as a whole. On the whole, I believe Obama is the best candidate. He's at least willing to try to make changes once he's president. People who think he should be making those changes now obviously don't understand the work involved. One senator isn't going to change squat by himself. He could spend all his time trying, but that would leave no time to actually run for president. Which do you want - Senator Obama or President Obama? I prefer President Obama.

md- We at dubyaD40 support the Democratic nominee for president. That's the bottom line.
Are we unhappy with some of our Dem leaders in Congress? Sure. But that's another argument.
