Republicans Vote Against Moms; No Word Yet on Puppies, Kittens
It was already shaping up to be a difficult year for congressional Republicans. Now, on the cusp of Mother's Day, comes this: A majority of the House GOP has voted against motherhood.
On Wednesday afternoon, the House had just voted, 412 to 0, to pass H. Res. 1113, "Celebrating the role of mothers in the United States and supporting the goals and ideals of Mother's Day," when Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-Kan.), rose in protest.
"Mr. Speaker, I move to reconsider the vote," he announced.
Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Fla.), who has two young daughters, moved to table Tiahrt's request, setting up a revote. This time, 178 Republicans cast their votes against mothers.

I don't recall the Democrats pulling this crap when Republicans were in charge of Congress. In fact, the Republicans did everything in their power to prevent Democrats from participating. They changed committee meeting locations without telling them, locked them out of meeting rooms - Rolling Stone did a story on that a couple years ago.
It's like their a bunch of five year olds. I'm waiting for them to hold their breath until they turn blue. Wait... I think I'd actually be in favor of that. :)

This is what all those idiots do all day, huh? Well it sure warms my cockles knowing that all those family value spoutin, bribe takin criminals we allow to run our lives know what's important! Every mother in the land can rest easy now, with the full knowledge that a bunch of snake oil sellin, bible spoutin assholes we gave everything we had away too think they're just wonderful.
