Guess who Fox News is blaming for the CA wildfires posted by Wally 1:25 PM Amazingly, this time it's NOT Bill Clinton's fault. Nope, according to Fox News, the fires were started by (tell me you saw this coming) al Qaeda As more than a million people escaped the flames, Fox News anchors couldn't help speculating about a terrorism link to the blazes ravaging southern California. "I've heard some people talk about this a little bit to me, but have you heard anybody suggest that this could be some form of terrorism," Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy asked Wednesday morning. Fox anchors returned to fanning the terror fears, digging up a four-year-old FBI memo and presenting it as new information relating to an al Qaeda link to the fires. The memo was first reported by the Arizona Republic in July 2003, although a Fox anchor said it was reported "five days ago." Just this one time, let's assume for the sake of argument that Fox is right, and it was al Qaeda that started the fires. Doesn't that shoot the hell out of Bush's argument about "fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here"? What kind of an indictment is it on the Bush administration's ability to protect our homeland from terrorism if they've had this memo for over 4 years and couldn't stop the terror attack from happening? Or could it just be that once again, Fox news is full of shit, stooping to another new low, using this natural disaster to fan the flames (so to speak) of fear in order to drum up support for their little god-king George. 	Breaking News! Homeland Security troopers arrested the Mojave Desert earlier today and spirited the "freedom hating" desert to a secret prison complex in Cuba. Spokesman Fred 'skidmark' Barnes warned Californians to be on the lookout for a "Santa Ana Winds" character that is probably part of a 'cell' operating in concert with Mr. Mojave. "They really caught us offguard" admited some of the 625,000 employees of Homeland Security. "Who would have ever guessed they'd use fire in this bone dry desert?" mused some of these watchdogs. "We got a tip about avalanches this winter in the Rockies and are trying to figure what the fuck that's all about. What avalanches? Those mountains are solid rock! But we're still taking it seriously, you bet. Maybe they have some kind of fire avalanche figured out, probably made in Iran". "Please contact us if you want to turn in your neighbor or anybody we can hang this on" stated Political Officer George 'shitferbrains' Will, who offered new Levis to children willing to turn their parents in. "Al Queda has discovered fire it looks like and the Constitution didn't envision this Brave New World we're living in, so scratch the damn Constitution.
