Democrats proceed with Iraq legislation Senate Democrats defiantly charged ahead Thursday with legislation ordering troops home from Iraq, still lacking the votes to win but armed with the mantra that Republicans, along with President Bush, now own the war. "They want this war more than they want to protect our soldiers," Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters. "When I say they want the war, they want to protect their president more than they want to protect our troops." Reid spoke minutes after Republicans successfully pushed through, by a 72-25 vote, a resolution condemning an advertisement by the liberal activist group MoveOn.org. Displayed in The New York Times, the ad taunted Gen. David Petraeus, the top military commander in Iraq, as "General Betray Us." Reid's tough rhetoric reflected frustration by Democrats that more Republicans haven't broken with Bush on the war. Several Republican senators had grown increasingly anxious throughout the summer about the violence in Iraq and lack of political progress in Baghdad. 	It's no help that deluded Democrats seem to forget the DLC, formed by the Clintons, Al Gore and Ho Lieberman, the intent of which was to take the party to the right. Which is exactly what it and they did. Except for the Ho, people worship the Clinton, Gore cabal, people responsible for the destruction of the Democratic party head in the sand Democrats still think exists. Read "Al Gore, a users Manual", by two liberals, one a life long self described 'tree hugger' and the other a true liberal, so you can't smear them with the usual "it's the Republicans fault" whine. They with deliberate intent changed the Democratic party into just another wing of the Republican party. Yet still you wax poetic about their bonifides as liberals. The real joke is praising their, especially Gores, environmental records. If Al Gore's an environmentalist the world is truly fucked. What Gore is is a corporate syncophant whose only interest in the environment is how it can benefit him politically. These are not my biased opinions, they are the documented facts as documented in the book I mentioned earlier. Liberals better wake the fuck up or there is no sense in even talking about these issues, because they're just being led off a cliff like lemmings, and are so blinded to facts by their hatred of the "Neos" that their own "leaders" have all the cover they need to destroy what little is left of the Liberal wing of the Democratic party. A vote for Hillary will amount to a vote for a Republican. If people would bother to read these peoples true records it might help the shithole we're in. But I suppose it's easier to just parrot what you're told to think by political sound bites. Reading is such a chore. I'll make it simple; Joe Lieberman, Al Gore and both Clintons are butt buddies from a long time ago and still are. Whatever you think of Ho Lieberman goes equal for the others in his Club.
