Is there anything ON the table for the Dem leadership?

Sen Feingold (D-WI) proposes Censuring Bush. Reid (D-eballed)-NV) says "no"
Outspoken Bush administration critic Sen. Russ Feingold renewed a call Sunday to censure President George W. Bush over the U.S. war in Iraq, but the Democrats' Senate leader discouraged the move.

"Congress needs to formally condemn the president and members of the administration for misconduct before and during the Iraq war, and for undermining the rule of law at home," Feingold said in a statement.

However, Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada said Senate Republicans were sure to block any censure vote.

"The president already has the mark of the American people that he's the worst president we've ever had, and I don't think we need a censure resolution in the Senate to prove that," Reid told CBS' "Face the Nation."
Hey Harry, if you won't move to even censure (let alone impeach) "the worst president we've ever had", then we obviously can't count on you to do anything to hold anyone accountable for anything, ever. Get the hell out of the way and let someone do the job we hired you to do. Seriously.

Utter insanity. Reid himself says he's the worst president we've ever had, but he's willing to let it slide?? NOTHING should EVER be "off the table". Censure and impeachment powers were granted for a reason and should always be viable. I really wish I knew what was going on behind closed doors - are they being threatened? There's no other explanation...

Censure shouldn't be on the table for the simple fact that Bush couldn't care less what Democrats think about him. Ooooh, Censure. And after that, the Senate can start officially calling him "liar". And then they can tell him that he's a "bad man". After after that...

Meanwhile, troops continue to die, Iraqis continue to die, and Democrats continue to live the good life, just like the Republicans.

Can we fit 546 people on a single Boeing 747? The heads of all three branches of government should be shipped, naked and unarmed, directly to Iraq for war crimes or complicity in war crimes. Let the Iraqis administer some needed revenge upon our "leaders".

I also think censure is too light for Bush, but it's better than nothing. Censure and impeachment should always be an option - otherwise, what's the point of having it?

They'll never be tried for war crimes because the Military Commissions Act specifically gives them immunity. Sick, sick, sick. The only way to do it is to have another country try them. Like Germany has been trying to do with Rumsfeld.

I understand why the ass is the perfect mascot for the Democrats. What I don't understand is how so many people rah rah them like they are capable of fixing any of the critical problems facing the country. You consider ANY of these jokers "leaders"?
